why RSS took 100 years to accept ARYA

Excellent and deeply historical question, Dr. Arya — it goes to the heart of how the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) shaped its ideological vocabulary during its formation in 1925 under Dr. K. B. Hedgewar , and why “ Hindu ” — not “Arya” — became the cornerstone of its identity. Let’s unpack this carefully, both historically and philosophically. đź•°️ 1. Historical Background When the RSS was founded in Nagpur in 1925 , India was under British rule, and the social-political atmosphere was dominated by: The Indian National Congress (secular nationalist struggle), Hindu Mahasabha (cultural-nationalist group led by Savarkar and others), and the influence of Arya Samaj , Sanatan Dharma Sabha , Theosophical Society , and other reform movements. Each used different terms — Hindu , Sanatani , Arya , Bharatiya — to express identity and reform. 🔤 2. “Arya” – A Term with Reformist and Elitist Overtones The word “Ä€rya” (आर्य) in Sanskrit literally means noble — a spiritual a...

Ladakh always wanted UT status never demanded 6th Shedule

Image
Ladakh always wanted a UT Union Territory  I participated in these marches since 1997 and supported Union Territory status led by Shri Thupstan Tsewang  Never saw Sonam Wangchuk  in these marches. He was running a school in Phyang and doing innovative housing  for few years he was missing from Ladakh He came to limelight as a seasoned politician (son of politician) after formation of UT in Ladakh in 31st October 2019 when he floated his OWN party and lost all seats in the election Subsequently,  demanding Statehood and the inclusion of Ladakh under Schedule 6, which is not feasible due to Ladakh’s strategic borders with China and Pakistan. Moreover, Schedule 6 prohibits Indian citizens from buying land in such regions, a restriction that aligns disturbingly with China’s policy of territorial control — making it completely unacceptable for Ladakh. In fact Shedule 6 should be abolished from the NE and a more amicable system like that in Himachal Prades...

Ladakh roots, 6th Shedule and China

Press Note  Ladakh, 6th Schedule & National Security Concerns Recent demands to include Ladakh under the 6th Schedule must be carefully examined in a larger geopolitical context. While the 6th Schedule is designed to safeguard tribal interests in certain Northeastern states, its application in Ladakh could have unintended consequences. CHINA   INTEREST China has long been interested in restricting Indian integration in frontier regions. Under the 6th Schedule, land ownership is limited, preventing citizens from other parts of India from settling or investing in the region. Such restrictions directly suit China’s larger agenda of portraying these border areas as “different” or “disputed,” weakening their full integration into the Indian Union. LADAKH UNREST The recent unrest in Ladakh should not be seen in isolation but as part of this wider strategic game. While local safeguards are necessary, they must not compromise India’s national security.  BALANCED APPROACH...

Nehru’s Legacy in Education, Judiciary, and Politics – A Critical Reflection by Ritesh Arya

: --- Nehru’s Legacy in Education, Judiciary, and Politics – A Critical Reflection Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, shaped the foundations of modern India in multiple ways. His vision of socialism, state-led development, and secular democracy set the direction for the nation’s institutions. However, more than seventy years later, many aspects of Nehru’s model remain contested. Education, judiciary, and politics—the three pillars of modern India—carry both the imprint of Nehru’s aspirations and the burden of his unintended consequences. --- Education: The Brain Drain and Subsidy Dilemma One of Nehru’s greatest contributions was the establishment of elite institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). His belief was that scientific temper and technical expertise would modernize India and make it self-reliant. But the reality unfolded differently. These institutions became launch pads for global talen...

Himachal needs an earth science and climate change university—Dr Ritesh Arya

Himachal needs an earth science and climate change university—Dr Ritesh Arya : HAMIRPUR : Occurrence of cloudbursts remind us that at present we stand now where two roads diverge. The road we have long been travelling is deceptively easy, a smooth super highway on which we progress with great speed but at its end lies disaster. At times, can be even more puzzling than their technical definition. If it is an environmental phenomenon causing mayhem, it calls for a wise thought. Cloudburst nor rare for the people of Himachal Pradesh neither it is the wrath of the ‘devtas.’ Regional Himachal needs an earth science and climate change university—Dr Ritesh Arya Y.S.Rana | August 03, 2024 06:01 PM HAMIRPUR: Occurrence of cloudbursts remind us that at present we stand now where two roads diverge. Dr Ritesh Arya’s book “Whispers of Tethys” depicts Geo poetic love story between India and Tibet

Dr Ritesh Arya’s book “Whispers of Tethys” depicts Geo poetic love story between India and Tibet : CHANDIGARH:  Setting up a Tethys museum in Kasauli and now came out with a book really a long journey for Dr Ritesh Arya. He wrote a book "Whispers of Tethys" which is a geopoetic love story that personifies the geological relationship between India and Tibet. The story takes the reader back in geological time, narrating the events leading to the unification of the two landmasses (India and Tibet) through the metaphor of a love story.
